Protocol to give Wales full control over water supply and quality

A new water protocol will give the Welsh Assembly full control over its water supply and water quality, putting it on equal footing with Westminster

The protocol, introduced on 16 November, states that no action by either Wales or England should have any adverse impact on either nation and paves the way for the secretary of state’s powers of intervention in relation to water to be repealed.
