Incidents of fly-tipping are on the increase, according to the latest DEFRA figures

Incidents of fly-tipping are on the increase, according to figures from ENV24: Fly Tipping Incidents and Actions Taken in England, released by DEFRA in October 2017. After falling steadily between 2007/08 and 2012/13, the figures show that fly-tipping incidents began to rebound, rising 41% in the four years to 2016/17 when the total number of incidents topped one million (see figure 1 in downloadable infographic PDF and ENDS Report article).
