NI man fined for running skip hire business without a permit

The boss of an illegal skip hire firm, who was caught with a thousand tonnes of waste on his site, has been brought to justice

Kieran King of Clontigora Road, Newry pleaded guilty to waste offences at Newry Magistrates’ Court on 20 November.

The court heard how officers from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) visited the site of King’s skip hire firm at Cottage Road, Newry in 2016.
