Clean growth seen as great UK opportunity in new industrial strategy

The move to a low-carbon economy will transform global industry, says government as it outlines strategy for ensuring UK technological competitiveness

The strategy, published by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on 27 November, outlines four “grand challenges”, or global trends that the government has identified the UK needs to embrace. These are clean growth, mobility, an ageing society and artificial intelligence (AI) and the data-driven economy.
