EU parliament and council of ministers reach agreement on waste targets

The EU is facing criticism for watering down its recycling targets, but the UK is unlikely to meet them anyway

ENDS understands this includes a 60% municipal waste recycling target for 2030, which is a full 10% below the 70% target proposed in the original circular economy package and subsequent redrafts from the European Parliament.
