UK wildlife shows continued decline

DEFRA’s latest biodiversity assessment reveals that habitats and species are continuing to decline

Birds, pollinators and habitats are locked in a continued decline, according to DEFRA’s latest assessment of the UK’s wildlife.

The findings are set out in DEFRA’s biodiversity indicators report, published on 19 January, which is compiled from the devolved administrations for international reporting purposes. England’s biodiversity indicators were published simultaneously and reveal a similar performance.
