Councils 'must be more transparent' in their waste service decisions

Few local authorities publish details of their decisions to outsource household waste collection services or keep them in house, Ricardo-AEA has found

The report, published on 4 May, was commissioned by the Environmental Services Association (ESA) and supported by the Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee (LARAC) in a bid to help councils make good financial decisions on waste provision.
