Recycling reward scheme failed to alter behaviour

The final evaluation of a scheme intended to boost household recycling rates suggests it was largely ineffective

The £2m DEFRA scheme, which ran between 2011 and 2014 consisted of 31 pilots rewarding recycling and reuse by handing out cash, vouchers or discounts to householders.
