EA sees rise in illegal waste sites

The EA has blamed funding cuts and changes to the allocation of grant in aid on the increasing number of illegal waste sites

Minutes from an EA board meeting held on 2 February reveal that the regulator failed to close down enough high-risk illegal waste sites between April 2014 and the third quarter of 2015, missing its target by 45%.
