Final contaminated land grant opens

DEFRA is offering a final £400,000 contingency grant to help councils remediate part 2A sites before its main fund is withdrawn next year

The part 2A grant, which was announced on 12 May, has been dramatically reduced over the years, from a high of £17.5m in 2010/11 to £500,000 last year.
