Food waste prevention could save industry £300m a year

UK food retailers and manufacturers are getting better at cutting waste but could make much more use of redistribution schemes

The report, funded mainly by DEFRA and the Welsh government and published on 17 May, finds that 1.9 million tonnes of food is wasted in the UK grocery supply chain every year.
