In the agriculture and environment section of a report on leaving the EU, published by Conservative think-tank Centre for Social Justice on 8 October, Paterson posits that the UK should embrace and support the latest technological developments, “preferring the innovation principle over the precautionary principle, to ensure that the UK remains a global leader in environmental research and development”.
