BEIS extends non-delivery provisions on CfDs

Photograph: Fabian Schmidt/123RFSuccessful bidders for contracts for difference (CfDs) will face more restrictions in future if they fail to deliver, the department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has confirmed.

The moves, which were widely supported, follow a consultation by DECC in May which proposed strengthening the non-delivery disincentive introduced into the amended Contracts for Difference (Allocation) Regulations (2014).
