ESA moots alternative packaging waste systems

A series of alternatives to the current system of packaging recovery notes has been proposed to boost stalling recycling rates and help meet potentially tougher future targets

In a report, dated 20 September but published in late October, the waste industry body suggests alternatives to the current system of packaging recovery notes (PRNs/PERNs) which it believes would better boost stalling domestic recycling rates and help meet potentially tougher EU targets.
