BEIS seeks to reduce competitive advantage of embedded generation

Capacity market rules may change to remove perceived unfair advantages enjoyed by distributed generators, according to government proposals

The most eye-catching proposal in a consultation and accompanying letter to market participants on 28 October tackles what the government says is an unfair advantage for small, embedded or distributed generators including diesel.
