Non-financial company reports will not require independent verification

The UK government has decided not to mandate a requirement for company non-financial reports to be independently verified

On 9 November, BEIS set out its response to a consultation on implementing the EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD), which requires large public interest organisations to create report on their environmental, social, human rights and anti-corruption performance.
