UK ordered to ‘fully transpose’ EU offshore safety directive

EU rules to prevent and mitigate accidents in the offshore oil and gas industry must be in place in Northern Ireland, even though it has no relevant operations

The European Commission wrote a reasoned opinion to the UK on 17 November, warning it that it had not transposed the EU’s 2013 Offshore Safety Directive properly.
