Wales is exceeding its current recycling target of 58% by two percentage points and is on track to meet its 2025 target (see infographic).

According to data published by the Welsh government in October, the average combined reuse, recycling and composting rate across Wales’ 22 local authorities in 2015/16 was 60%. This is four percentage points higher than last year’s final figure and 30 percentage points more than nine years ago.
