Cardboard factory given five years to cut discharge

A Cumbrian plant has until the end of 2021 to cut its effluent’s very high oxygen demand and suspended solid content

The Iggesund Paperboard factory in Workington, Cumbria, now has until the end of 2021 to clean up its effluent, according to a revised environmental permit published on 25 November.
