Government stands fast to its smart meter rollout objectives

The Science and Technology Committee’s criticism that the national smart meter programme lacks direction and clarity has been rejected by BEIS

In a September report, the STC had said plans to rollout smart meters nationwide by 2020 is being hindered by a lack of clear direction and demanded clarity from Westminster.
