RHI reforms met with mixed responses from renewable heat industry

Reforms to the Renewable Heat Incentive will see some tariff changes and more conditions imposed on biogas and biomethane operators

Managing director of Forest Fuels, Peter Solly, has welcomed the government's announcementReforms to the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) have been met with cautious optimism by industry.

New tariffs for biomass boilers and other renewable heat technologies were announced by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on 14 December. This follows a consultation which ran earlier this year and received 370 responses from individuals, businesses, trade bodies and other organisations.
