Flood management: Hills to Levels project, Somerset

Roy Hayes, Natural England’s catchment-sensitive farming officer, has been seconded to Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group South West (FWAG SW) to work with the Somerset Wildlife Trust, RSPB and The Royal Bath & West of England Society to raise awareness of natural flood management. The aim is to help farmers take steps to reduce flood risk while enhancing wildlife, and to coordinate approaches to join up management of both the lower and upper catchments.
