Environment Agency scraps definition of waste panel

The quiet closure of the panel will leave businesses with a risky dilemma but it could also pave the way for a more liberal approach from the EA on waste classification

The panel, which made decisions about whether a material constitutes waste in England or not, was suspended by the regulator in September but the EA has now confirmed that it had been closed indefinitely.
