Industrial waste firm fined for Sunderland chemical spill

A leak of isopropyl alcohol that eventually seeped into groundwater has led to a £39,000 payout for a chemical waste management company

Tradebe Solvent Recycling Ltd, which is based in Marlow but part of global company Tradebe, was sentenced at Sunderland Magistrates Court on 21 December after pleading guilty to two offences of failing to comply with an environmental permit condition.
