UK drops down sustainable business rankings

The UK ties for third, behind the US and Canada, on this year’s Global 100 index ranking the world’s most sustainable corporations

Eight UK firms, including London Stock Exchange group, Centrica and Unilever have been named among the 100 most sustainable in the world.

However, the UK’s performance this year dropped by half compared to the 2012 Global 100, which saw the UK lead with 16 companies on the index.

Vodafone, Kingfisher, Sainsbury’s and BT were among those who did not make this year’s cut from the 2012 index.
