DECC funds ‘one stop shop’ for community energy

The government is providing seed funding for a community energy support and advice service in England and will cover its running costs for a year

DECC is offering a single grant of up to £100,000 to set up and run a national website and regional telephone support line for English community energy projects.

The new service will provide information and help on project funding and access to legal and financial expertise.

The department is seeking proposals to develop an online community energy service from an existing website, and is only accepting applications from organisations which are already present online.
