Sainsbury’s misses sustainable palm oil target

Sainsbury’s has become the second company in a matter of weeks to admit it has failed to meet sustainable palm oil targets

The food retailer announced on 31 December that 95% of the palm oil used to make Sainsbury’s own-brand products is now certified sustainable, which is 5% short of its 100% target set out in its 20 by 20 sustainability plan.
