Senior lawyers question legality of scrapping draft EU directives

A group of leading environmental lawyers has questioned the legality of the European Commission's decision to axe the draft circular economy package and change a major air pollution proposal.

In a letter sent to EU environment commissioner KarmenuVella on 9 January, the Avosetta Group said the decision undermined the EU's environmental policy goals set by MEPs.
