Scottish first in sustainable textile funding

A Zero Waste Scotland funding initiative has been launched, aimed at encouraging sustainability in the textile industry

(photograph: get4net/123RF)The Scottish government is offering up to £30,000 of funding to Scottish textile and apparel designers to help them reduce textile waste.

The funding – a first of its kind in Scotland – is intended to encourage designers to adopt new innovative methods to boost the circular economy by keeping materials in a high value state for as long as possible.
