Two more London hotspots breach air pollution limit

Two London sites have breached the legal annual hourly limit for nitrogen dioxide, joining Oxford Street and Putney High Street which breached their limits just days into 2015

Oxford Street, London (photograph: SUNG KUK KIM/123RF)Brixton Road in Lambeth and Walbrook Wharf in the City of London have become the third and fourth London streets to breach the nitrogen dioxide (NO2) hourly legal limit value for the whole of the year.

Brixton Road exceeded the limit on 21 January and Walbrook Wharf breached it the following day.
