Damage rules clarified to protect seas

Environmental damage regulations have been extended to cover all marine waters and ecosystems, in the hope of reducing the potential for major incidents

Article 38 of the EU Offshore Safety Directive (OSD), which was passed in 2013, extends the scope of the Environmental Liability Directive 2004 to cover all damage to marine waters.
