UK in top three for climate-resilient supply chains

The UK has been marked highly on supply chain reporting and management despite investment in emissions reductions initiatives falling dramatically

The UK has been ranked as the third best market for climate friendly supplier companies, falling behind just France and Japan, according to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

However, the CDP’s annual Supply Chain Report, released on 27 January, found that there has been a sharp decline in investment in emission reduction initiatives over the last year, from $12.3bn (£8.9bn) in 2013 to $4.6bn in 2014. The CDP says this is due to mixed signals from government on climate change policy.
