Natural England grants reprieve to wild Devon beavers

Natural England has confirmed it will allow a family of beavers to remain in the wild on a trial basis, reigniting debate about the impacts of reintroducing species

On 28 January, Natural England’s board confirmed that a licence would be issued to the Devon Wildlife Trust permitting the beavers to stay the river Otter catchment on a five-year trial basis.
