Retail sector cuts carbon emissions by 13%

The British Retail Consortium has found that the retail sector is on track to reduce its environmental impact significantly by 2020

UK retailers have reduced absolute operational carbon emissions by 13% in ten years, according to the British Retail Consortium (BRC).

In its annual sustainability report, published on 29 January, the BRC examines the progress of its environmental initiative, A Better Retailing Climate, in reducing the direct impact of retail operations.
