Uncensored fracking report highlights environmental impacts

Fracking could increase global greenhouse gas emissions and have negative impacts on climate, water, landscape, health and house prices, according to DEFRA’s newly unredacted report

The information commissioner forced DEFRA to publish the redacted report in fullDEFRA’s previously censored report on the impact of fracking on rural communities has been published in full and contains large swathes of material on environmental impacts.

The Information Commissioner forced DEFRA to publish the report, previously only released in a highly redacted version, saying the department had “incorrectly withheld the information”.
