World’s largest potash mine to be sited in national park

The North York Moors National Park Authority has given Sirius Minerals the green light to site its £1.7 billion potash mine within its boundaries

The project will lie between Whitby and Scarborough, extending 16km inland from the coast and up to 14km offshore.
