Poor compliance at permitted sites in England reached a five-year high last year, the Environment Agency’s (EA) latest performance review reveals.

The figures, revealed in the regulator’s corporate scorecard for 2014/15, show that as of March 2015 1.7% of permitted facilities had held the lowest operational risk appraisal (OPRA) scores for at least two consecutive years, against a target of 1.3%.
