DECC has amended industry standards under the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) regime to align them to European regulations and improve energy efficiency calculations.

In a policy paper, DECC explains that from 26 September a new set of Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) standards will come into force for products used to generate electricity and heat from renewable sources.1

The changes were laid before parliament as part of the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2015.
