Peak in poor compliance as EA struggles

Compliance at permitted sites in England reached a five-year low in 2014/15, the EA’s latest performance review has shown

The figures, revealed in the Environment Agency’s (EA’s) latest corporate scorecard, show that as of March 2015 1.7% of permitted facilities had held the lowest operational risk appraisal (OPRA) scores for at least two consecutive years, against a target of 1.3%.1
