Setbacks for shale industry

Lancashire county council has refused two applications from Cuadrilla to frack for shale gas, citing noise and impact on the landscape

In July, Lancashire county council refused planning permission for Cuadrilla to hydraulically fracture for shale gas at two sites in the area.
