A database has been launched to alert textile companies of any hazardous chemicals in their supply chains

A database has been launched to alert textile companies of any hazardous chemicals in their supply chains.

The free Textile Guide, launched by chemicals NGO ChemSec, is particularly aimed at SMEs and start-ups.1

The guide comprises a searchable database, which contains information on more than 6,500 chemicals. ChemSec says the information is “scientifically well founded” and based on EU and US legislation and several restricted substance lists from multinational brands and textile trade organisations.
