Improving resource efficiency will help stabilise commodity prices, according to a report from Green Alliance.

The lobbying group has hit back at claims that the recent falls in commodity prices – notably oil – lessens the need for a stronger resource efficiency policies.1

Citing articles from the Daily Telegraph and the Financial Times, which have questioned the need to recalibrate resources policy to an era of lower commodity prices, Green Alliance says this view “ignores the inherent volatility and unpredictability of commodity prices”.
