EU water sector legislation ‘fit for purpose’

Existing EU laws are largely adequate for safeguarding Europe’s water resources, if properly coordinated and enforced, says the European Commission

Its review of water sector policy has concluded that current European legislation on drought and water scarcity is largely complete and fit for purpose.
