UN launches procurement policy and guidance

The UN Development Programme has published a guide for vendors on its new policy to buy more sustainable goods and services

Products and services bought by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) should have lower environmental impacts in future due to new policy and guidance on sustainable procurement.

The guidance provides detailed information on how the programme intends to use sustainability criteria to evaluate a vendor's bid. It outlines a scoring system that includes incentives for vendors to offer more sustainable products and services.
