Councils advised on best green infrastructure tools

Tools for putting a price on changes to the local environment have been reviewed for Natural England

The best tools for estimating the economic benefits of green infrastructure are described in a new report from Natural England.

The report, prepared by consultants Eftec and Cascade, compares some of the most common methods for putting a monetary value on investment in street trees, gardens, parks, rivers and other green infrastructure.

Natural England says it expects the report to be particularly useful for local authorities, local enterprise partnerships and green NGOs.
