DEFRA asks firms to describe REACH experiences

Survey results will help the government push for more business-friendly implementation of the EU chemicals regulation

DEFRA is asking UK firms to describe their experience of working with REACH, the EU chemicals regulation. It hopes the information gathered will aid efforts to improve the system.

The short survey on REACH has been publicised via trade associations and industry bodies but is not currently mentioned on the DEFRA website.

DEFRA is particularly keen to hear about the process of registering substances under the 2010 and 2013 REACH deadlines for chemicals manufactured or imported in quantities of over 1,000 tonnes and over 100 tonnes respectively.
