British Gas and nine local councils are launching a £200m collaborative home and small business energy efficiency project in the North East.

The Warm Up North scheme is the largest and most advanced response to date under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) for vulnerable and hard to treat homes and the Green Deal. 

The Newcastle-based project aims to tackle fuel poverty and cut bills for thousands of North East homes and businesses.
