Sainsbury's to launch certified raw material standard

The Sainsbury's sustainability standard will cover 35 raw materials, helping cut supply chain impacts and costs

Credit: Sainsbury'sWheat, rice, coffee, cocoa and fish could soon be covered by a Sainsbury's sustainability standard due to be launched in December.

The supermarket made a commitment in 2011 to buy all key raw materials from independently certified sustainable sources as part of its sustainability plan for 2020.
