Two men have been jailed for their part in a huge tyre fire at an industrial estate in Swansea.

Two men have been jailed for their part in a huge tyre fire at an industrial estate in Swansea.

Scott Phillips, from Neath, and Peter Thomas, from Swansea, pleaded guilty at Swansea crown court in June to depositing controlled waste without an environmental permit. On 1 November they were each sentenced to six months in prison for breaching section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

Both men were former directors of the now-dissolved waste firm Globally Greener Solutions Ltd.
