Action needed to get UK low-carbon firms working in China

MPs say the government needs to help firms access Chinese markets, particularly those involved in emissions trading and CCS

The government must do more to help low-carbon businesses access Chinese markets, according to a report from the House of Commons Energy and Climate Change Committee.

Current efforts “suffer from a lack of strategic direction”, with funding given to “too many small projects, focused on too may different areas”.

This means UK businesses have limited visibility in China and there is little awareness of their expertise.
